How do I activate my Magic Band?
- Create or sign into your Disney account.
- Link your annual pass to your Disney account. Your pass may have been linked automatically when you purchased it on disneyworld.com.
- Activate your pass at any Walt Disney World theme park ticket window or Disney Springs Guest Relations location.
How do I activate old magic bands?
Guests always had the option to “unofficially” reuse a MagicBand, but now My Disney Experience is asking them to confirm this choice. Just make sure your band is linked to your profile! Then all of your ticket, resort, and dining information will sync up.
How do you use magic bands?
Most of the time, all you need to do is touch your MagicBand against a sensor called a touch point. It’s that easy! Your MagicBand enables you to travel lighter throughout your vacation. Use it to enter the parks, unlock your Disney Resort hotel room and buy food and merchandise.

Can someone else use my Magic Band 2020?
Can other people use my MagicBand or card? No. Your MagicBand or card is unique to you and only you are authorized to access the benefits associated with it—including linked tickets, FastPass+ experiences, touch-to-pay purchases and other entitlements.
Can I reuse my Disney Magic Band?
Yes. If you have a MagicBand or card that you like, and it is in working condition, you can continue to use it when you return to Walt Disney World Resort. If you have multiple MagicBands or cards, you can manage which ones are active in the MagicBand section of My Profile.
Any tickets you link to your account will automatically be linked to your existing MagicBands for future use. To link new tickets, log-in to your My Disney Experience account. MagicBands do have a battery life of up to two years, according to Disney, so keep that in mind if you are planning on using them in the future.
Is a Magic Band worth it?
The short answer is, “No.” You do not NEED a MagicBand. Without a MagicBand, you will simply use your RFID-enabled ticket card for all of the functions a MagicBand will otherwise do. You do not need MagicBands in order to make and redeem FastPass+ reservations. You can use your ticket for FastPass+.

As long as a band is listed as active in your My Disney Experience account, it can be re- used. If you have an old band from a previous on-property stay but are staying off-property on your next Disney vacation, you can take advantage of the convenience of reuse at no additional cost.
How long do magic Bands last?
Long Battery Life Disney has suggested that the MagicBands will remain active for approximately two years before the battery dies.
To use your MagicBand with FastPass+ service, both your MagicBand and valid theme park admission must be linked to your Disney account. If you have not already done so, please link your ticket, Annual Pass or package to your Disney account.
